In das natuerliche Umfeld bringt der kuenstliche Eingriff Spannung, erzeugt durch den Fremdkoerper. Die Natur ist das eigentliche Schauspiel und ihrem Auftritt dient die Inszenierung.

Gewoehnlich ermoeglichen Fenster den Blick vom Inneren nach draussen, hier findet eine Umkehrung statt. Es ist ein Rahmen fuer das alltaegliche Naturschauspiel. So unter anderem „sehen” wir die Anziehungskraft der Erde, an den auf den geneigten Glasflaechen gleitenden Wurzeln, die ihren senkrechten Weg nach unten suchen.

In the natural environment, the artificial intervention causes tension, which is induced by the presence of the metallic frame. Nature is the real spectacle; its appearance relies on the director’s work. Usually, windows allow the viewers to look inside from outside, whereas here the situation is reversed. It is a frame for the daily spectacle of nature. Thus, among others, we may observe the effects of terrestrial gravity while looking at the roots that glide on the inner side of the glass plate as they try to resume their vertical descent.

The colour photographs taken of this Earth relief have become an autonomous ensemble. Partly, they reveal the continuous changes of nature taking place behind the glass plate, while, on the other hand, they present staged sceneries overlapping with the relief structure.
